City on Parris:
Nikita Parris joined City on a season-long loan from Everton in January 2015 and signed a permanent deal with the club 12 months later.
Following in the footsteps of Toni Duggan and Jill Scott in making the move from Merseyside to Manchester, the 21-year-old expressed her excitement to embark on a new challenge while reuniting with old friends.
Having netted 11 goals in 19 league games last term, Parris was a bright spark in a difficult campaign for the Toffees, who were relegated to the FA Women's Super League 2.
When asked what attracted her to City, she noted the new training facilities and the club's influence in promoting women's football as major factors in her decision.
Parris started her career at youth level with Everton and progressed through the ranks from the club's Centre of Excellence to the first-team.
She made her debut for the Merseysiders in the 2010/11 Women's Champions League qualifying tournament.
In the summer of 2011, the pacey forward was named in Mo Marley's squad for the inaugural FA WSL and made a name for herself as a scorer of breathtaking goals.
As one of the country's rising stars, Parris was named Everton's Player of the Year at the club's End of Season Awards in May 2014.
On the international stage, she has represented England from under-17 level to under-23s.
Overall, she had made 31 appearances for her country, netting an impressive 24 goals. Notably, she scored a hat-trick for the Three Lionesses' under-19 side in a 6-0 demolition of Wales back in 2012.
While admired for her speed, power and impressive goalscoring record, the youngster also highlighted her passion for the game as one of her best traits.
In her debut season with City, she netted seven league goals and earned a full contract with the Blues, ahead of 2016 which includes Champions League football.
